The Monastery runs a teacher training program, educating them to conduct environmental learning programs in their classrooms, in an effort to stimulate an ecological consciousness on the part of their students. The program seeks to integrate the schools and environmental agencies of the various municipalities from around the region so they all become a part of the network of preservation based on the monastery’s role as an environmental education center.
