The Monastery understands that it cannot do everything by itself, and thus has been seeking partners in the region itself who are interested in its environmental education and preservation proposal. These include Aracruz Celulose, Companhia Vale do Rio Doce and the city governments of Ibiraçu, Aracruz, João Neiva and Fundão, who all support the monastery in different ways.
The Monastery’s land management plan, already an award-winning experience, was carried out with the technical and financial support of Aracruz. The company also provides support for the environmental education program, conducted at the monastery since 1996.
Furthermore, Aracruz collaborated in the structure of kiosks, decks, the monastery’s oriental-style entranceway and repairs to other installations and gardening aspects.
