The Morro da Vargem Zen Monastery is located in the municipality of Ibiraçu, the north of the city of Vitória, capital of the state of Espírito Santo. Besides at regular retreats, the monastery also opens on Sundays for guided tours.
- By car
- Continue on the BR-101 highway until Km 217 and turn off onto the paved highway that leads to the monastery.
- By bus
- At the Vitória bus station, take a Viação Águia Branca bus to Ibiraçu. At Ibiraçu, make a phone call from the Águia Branca stop next to the Califórnia restaurant. Call the monastery. Transportation is provided until 4 p.m. As of that time, you will have to take a taxi at your own expense.
- By airplane
- At the Vitória airport, take a shuttle bus to the Águia Branca terminal in Carapina. From there, get on a bus to Ibiraçu.
- From there on, follow the steps described above for arriving by bus from Vitória: At Ibiraçu, make a phone call from the Águia Branca stop next to the Califórnia restaurant. Call the monastery. Transportation is provided until 4 p.m. As of that time, you will have to take a taxi at your own expense.
- We suggest that you contact a taxi in advance through Walmir 8812-1694 / 9960-5054, who will make the trip between the airport to the monastery for approximately R$70.00.
