In the summer of 1995, the Morro da Vargem Zen Monastery inaugurated its Cultural Station, a space designed for artists of all types. This station is a pioneering experience in Brazil, a type of workshop, studio and art gallery.
With a panoramic view of the mountains surrounding the monastery, artists can develop their projects in direct contact with nature, blended in with the daily life of a Zen monastery.
The lush vegetation, very quiet routine of the monastery and the functionality of the location made it an ideal place for an artist to work.
